All of our retreats run for one week. Each week starts at 5pm on the Friday and ends on the following Friday at 9am.

Our Vital Detox Retreat venue is a converted 16th Century farm just below Glastonbury’s famous Tor. The amazing, far reaching views are across to Wells Cathedral and the lovely Mendip Hills. We have a range of gorgeous cottages that you can share or have all to yourself.

We also have a  Glamping option for complete peace and quiet. There is an indoor pool, steam room, hot tub, group room, beautiful old gardens and orchards to relax in as well as many beautiful walks from the door.

We have wifi throughout, Digital TV and DVDs in every cottage and a book and DVD library to relax with. If you want to be sociable, there will also be lots of new people to meet and make friends with, but it’s also fine if you want to be by yourself – to, literally, retreat.

We also provide Glastonbury spring water, specially formulated herbal teas, lots of extras in your cottages to aid your detox and all the care, support and information you need to make this a truly life changing experience.

We are just a few miles from the M5 so easy to get to from anywhere in the country. By car we are 2.5 hours from London and 2 hours from Birmingham. Alternatively, if you want to come by train, we can pick you up, and drop you back to, Castle Cary, the local mainline station, at no extra cost.

NB  Vital Detox is an all inclusive retreat. Everything you need for a complete cleanse, on all levels, is included in the price of your cottage (except massage). Please go to the Accommodation and Prices page to see details and photos of all our gorgeous cottages and the price of each. Places start at just £900 for the week.

M5 Route

  • If you are coming from the M5, take the Glastonbury exit and take the A39 to Glastonbury.
  • As you come into Glastonbury you will come to a roundabout which gives you the option to continue following the A39 towards Wells.
  • Take this road and at the third roundabout take the exit towards the West Mendip Hospital.
  • Turn left to the Hospital and then take the first left after the hospital into Brindham Lane – this is signposted to Wick.
  • Follow this lane for about a mile and you will come across the entrance for Middlewick Cottages (BA6 8JW) on the right.

Park in the car park and walk down towards the cottages – we will be there to meet you.

A303 Route

  • If you are travelling on the A303 take the A37 for Bristol/Shepton Mallet and then take the A361 to Glastonbury.
  • Keep going on this road for 7 miles until, approaching Glastonbury, you see the Tor above and to the right of you. There is a big stonemasons on the right with a big display of carvings outside and the turning to Wick is just past this on the right.
  • Follow this lane for a couple of miles until you come to Middlewick Cottages (BA6 8JW) on the left.

Park in the car park and walk down towards the cottages – we will be there to meet you. NB – if you arrive after 7pm we will be in the Group Room so please phone the mobile number below and one of us will come and meet you.
